You know you can't get 1200 baud from your Morse Code key, so you don't try and you don't expect it. That key is way back there from the leading edge but we still have them (I have 2). There is nothing wrong with keeping any old level of technology and even using it. The point is to not expect everyone else who prefers to move on to new and better things to hold back for you. There are ways to deal with such things, such as a 1200 baud AX25 2m FM node that gives whoever connects to it a telnet "shell" to get into the higher speed TCP/IP nets. Life is supposed to be a continual learning experience. Those who decide to stop are, IMHO, dead. -- Phil Howard KA9WGN | The drive spec says the capacity is 600mb unformatted Unix/Internet/Sys Admin | and 525mb formatted. Arrow started shipping late May. I received mine yesterday. The unit is a little longer than the C26 version. All connectors are identical. -- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Jim Lill- Vector Board BBS jpll@vectorbd.com 716-544-1863/2645 wa2zkd@wb2psi.#wny.ny.usa.na GEnie: ZKD ------------------------------ End of Ham-Digital Digest V94 #188 ******************************
